Making the move

It's begun. Our house is on the market (see below). The paperwork is being prepared at John's workplace. Kassie has informed her closest friends. She's also been accepted at Miss Edgar's and Miss Cramp's school for girls in Montreal. This week I'm starting to train a few parents in website design, so Kassie's current school's website won't fade into obscurity. We figure we'll make the trip to Canada mid-August, to settle Kassie in before school starts at the end of the month. Sadly, school isn't finished in the UK until the end of this month, so Kassie won't have a very long summer holiday...but at least it won't lack for excitement.

I realize that it will be sad leaving your friends in England, but your friends in Montreal are looking forward to your return. I am very happy for Kassie on entering Miss Edgars and Miss Cramps School - it's really the best girls school in Montreal. I am sure that she will quickly make new friends here just as she has done in England. Only regret is that we won't have the opportunity to visit your beautiful home and the charming city of Nantwich before your departure.

Jeanne - I'm so sorry that I won't be able to visit you in the UK. Man, I love that place. But Montreal is so much closer and almost as beautiful so we'll try again to have a visit!!!

I'm sure the move will be tough on everyone. But welcome back to Canada! What does Kassie think of her new School and returning to Montreal?

We'll definitely have to schedule a welcome back party before school starts.

Hi all,

Thanks, everyone, for extending such a warm welcome back. Kassie is overjoyed to be attending ECS, her aunt's former school. She was accepted at The Study, too, and it was tough deciding between the two. We really couldn't go wrong with either choice. She has her uniform fitting on August 24th, so we'll definitely be in the city by then. A lot to do in the meantime!

Bruce, a welcome back party sounds brilliant.

See you all soon. Jeanne

Dear Jeanne,

Thanks for not giving up on me. Can't believe you are already leaving England. Guess after three years we are finally settled in to life in USA althought can't say completely adjusted to such early retirement!!

Lauren had a gorgeous baby girl on 8 June - her name is Kaela. They live in Michigan and we were up there to help out for a bit. They arrive here (TN) to visit tomorrow for a week - I am using ANYA for my grandmother name which really means mother in Hungarian as I am sure you know. Didn't think either of us could handle the nagy part also.

Many blessings with the move.
fondly,
Sherry
