Snowbound

Obviously the wizard is keeping me very busy, since I haven't post once in the last month.

I simply had to share photos of our recent snowstorm with you, particularly with my envious British mates. The first photo is of our house the day after the 40-cm dump we received this past Friday. The storm closed schools and saw many parents, including this one, working from a warm home as the snow fell steadily all day.

The second picture is also of the day after and our first trek as a family down to the neighbourhood village. Kassie couldn't contain her glee as she climbed snowbank after snowbank. Now, two days since the storm, the snow pushed to the sides of the streets is nearly gone. Trucks and snowblowers were up early this morning, waking me at the ungodly hour (for Sunday) of 6am. However, it's a small price to pay for safer city streets.

Lovely! We've had oodles of snow, too, but here's the mean thing: Saturday was +10. Sunday? -18!
Talk about March being a lion!
